• Based in Aberdeen, Scotland. Serving charities & small businesses

Your Website.

Fully yours.

No lock-ins.

Bespoke WordPress websites for small businesses and charities in Aberdeen. No lock-ins, no jargon — you own everything from day one.

For people who are not tech-savvy

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and it’s not your fault.

A simple saffron outline of a closed padlock.

Monthly fees that keep climbing. Features held hostage behind upgrades. An outdated website that regardless, you pay since 2013 and can’t access it.

A saffron outline of a construction barrier with diagonal stripes

Settings you’re afraid to touch and platforms that promise will be easy. A digital world that feels designed to keep you dependent.

A jagged arrow pointing downwards

You’ve tried an AI builder, an agency, Wix, Squarespace, maybe all of them. Something was always missing — usually clarity and honesty.

A heart with a jagged crack running through the center

Developers who disappeared after launch. Passwords held hostage. Upsells you didn’t need. You deserve better.

Why work

I design and build bespoke, responsive and affordable websites for small business owners and charities across Scotland. I’ll tell you honestly what you need— even if that means you don’t need me.

Real businesses

Every project here came from a real conversation with a real person who was struggling. Here’s what we built together.

A screenshot of the homepage for Your Love Rara, an Aberdeen charity. The hero section features a chalkboard that says 'Volunteers are just ordinary people with extraordinary hearts' and the headline 'Welcome To Your Love Rara'

After paying over £4,000 in Wix fees for a site that wasn’t responsive and couldn’t grow, I migrated the business to a fully owned, flexible WordPress site — no locked into “upgrade or lose it”

A screenshot of the Community Link Childcare homepage. The hero image shows three children at a table playing with blue slime, overseen by a smiling adult. The headline reads 'Community Link Childcare — Supporting working families, nurturing happy children'.

A childcare charity with a website nobody quite owned. Who held the domain, hosting or CMS? I brought clarity, structure, and full ownership — and trained the team to manage it confidently.

A screenshot of the UnderWorks Art website homepage. The background shows a mural of a crying woman's face on a wooden hoarding. Large white and yellow text reads 'ABERDEEN DESERVES THIS'.

Community-led initiative transforming a building into a creative arts space for Aberdeen. An early-stage project like this needed a website quickly for an investor pitch. Their AI-built site looked impressive but limited edits and flexibility. I rebuilt it in WordPress — giving them full control, scalability, and freedom without ongoing usage costs.

Step by step,

No surprises. No jargon. Just a clear, honest process — adapted to your pace and your budget.

Free discovery call — no obligation

We have a proper conversation about your business, your current situation, and what you actually need. I’ll be honest if I think you don’t need a full website yet. No pitch. No pressure.

A clear, honest proposal

You receive a plain-English breakdown of what I’ll build, how long it will take, and what it will cost — with flexible payment options that fit your budget. You decide if you want to proceed.

We built it together

I share progress at every milestone. Your feedback shapes the result. At each stage, you’ll know exactly what’s been built and why. No black boxes, no waiting months for a “big reveal”.

Hands-on training (at your pace)

Once the build is finished, we’ll have a friendly, jargon-free training session (in person preferably) to ensure you feel confident managing your site. I’ll explain exactly how everything works in plain language, so you’re never left wondering which button does what.

Ongoing support, only if you want it

I’m here when you need me, on your terms. No monthly retainer you’ll resent paying. Just honest support, when it’s actually needed.

The person who actually builds your website

I didn’t arrive here in a straight line. With a background in engineering, I’ve seen businesses struggling to integrate technology into their day-to-day work. Even when they
generate large amounts of data every day, very little of it is understood or used.

That experience led me to deepen my skills, moving into technology and studying in Scotland.

Along the way, I noticed a pattern: small businesses and charities are often expected to manage technology, websites, digital tools and AI with ease, without ever being properly guided.

I believe technology should support you, be accessible, and never confuse you or lock you in.

When you work with The Wee Web Studio, you work directly with me, the person who builds, design and deploy your website.

My work is influenced by:

  • MSc in Information Technology with Business Intelligence
  • BSc in Chemical Engineering
  • Professional training in full-stack software engineering
  • Company Wide Quality & Productivity Management

You have questions.

No jargon. No filler. Just honest advice for people who have more important things to do than become tech experts.

From day one, you are the primary owner of your domain, hosting account, and website. I document every credential in plain English and hand it to you. There are no long-term contracts, no hidden passwords, and no monthly fees unless you choose ongoing support. Leaving me should be easy — and I design it that way on purpose.

That’s exactly who I work with. I’ll never use jargon without explaining it first. I’ll walk you through each decision in plain, honest language. You don’t need to become a developer — you just need to feel confident and in control. That’s my job.

It depends on what you actually need — and I’ll tell you honestly if you need less than you think. A bespoke WordPress site typically starts from around £1,000. Costs can be spread over time, and you only pay for what is genuinely needed. We discuss all of this in your free discovery call before anything is agreed.

Absolutely — and I’ll help you understand if that’s right for you. AI builders can be a great starting point. But they can also trap you in monthly fees, produce code with security flaws, and fail basic local SEO requirements. If you try DIY and hit a wall, I’m here. No judgment, just help.

Honestly? Sometimes social media is the right answer — especially if you’re just starting out. I’ll tell you that upfront rather than sell you something you don’t need yet. A website is part of a wider strategy. If it’s the right time for one, we’ll know that after our first conversation.

I’m here — on your terms. You can reach out for ad-hoc support and pay only for what you actually need. No forced retainers, no yearly contracts. Some months you’ll need nothing at all. That’s completely fine.
